Vinegar is said to have a lot of benefits not only for the feet but for our body as a whole. It prevents bacteria and fungi and other harmful microbes to enter our body. Similarly, when we soak our feet in vinegar, it forms a protective shield and stops the growth of bacteria, fungus and harmful microbes. Not only that, vinegar has umpteen uses, it can be used in the kitchen or in the house as a cleaning agent or for alternative medicine.
It is because this magical potion contains acetic acid which is full of antimicrobial properties and fuels the vinegar to act as an all-purpose liquid. Different types of vinegar contain different amounts of acetic acid. Such as, cider of wine vinegar contains about 5 to 7 per cent of acetic acid whereas white vinegar is comprised of 4 to 7 per cent. The accumulation of sweat on the feet skin results in foot odours. Regular sweating can build up this smell around your feet. In fact, there are some people whose feet sweat even without them being involved in any strenuous activity that may cause sweat. In addition to that, foot odours can worsen when combined with certain types of bacteria and fungi that are present both on the feet and the footwear we use.
To put an end to foot odours, all you have to do is soak your feet in vinegar water solution for 10-20 minutes and that will kill all the harmful odour causing microbes. Just remember to wash your feet with soap before and after dipping your foot in the mixture.
