We often forget to fuel ourselves with the most essential element of our body, water. There is more to water than just quenching our thirst, keeping us hydrated. Water plays a key role in maintaining our overall health. Drinking this elixir boosts our well-being in more ways than one, helping in weight management, improving the texture of our skin, and preventing digestion-related issues to name a few.
Encouraging ourselves to drink more water is a task for real and no, just buying those fancy water bottles won't do. So, we spoke to nutritionist Kavita Devgan and asked her to share some quick tips on how we can drink more water throughout the day.
Nutritionist Kavita Devgan said, "Not drinking enough water is one big issue. While people feel thirsty during the summer season, during the monsoon season, they often take drinking water for granted and don't consume enough water. However, the truth is that as soon as the monsoon arrives, people should increase their water intake."
"Sweating happens and if you don't drink enough water, your body will get dehydrated," she added.
Ways To Drink More Water
Make A Water Plan
"Make sure you drink two glasses of water in the morning after waking up. This water can be at room temperature or slightly warm. With this, you will be able to drink two glasses of water no matter what," said nutritionist Kavita Devgan. Next, fill up a water bottle and keep it handy, make sure you have it during the first part of the day. Refill the water bottle and have it in the second half of the day. This will help you fuel your body with 2.5 litres of water," said nutritionist Kavita Devgan.
