Vidaamuyarchi made its premiere on the big screen on February 6, 2025. So far the Tamil action thriller has turned out to be a blockbuster racking up to Rs 120.25 crore globally at the box office in its first week. Movies usually have a window of 30 to 90 days after their theatrical release, which is when it is released on the OTT platform. The same stands for Vidaamuyarchi. As per several media reports, the Vidaamuyarchi OTT release date window should be somewhere around March 7, 2025, to the end of March.
It is also been reported that Vidaamuyarchi will make its world television premiere on Sun TV on April 14, 2025. However, none of this has been finally confirmed by the makers yet and fans are still waiting for a final announcement.

Several media reports suggest that the streaming giant Netflix has acquired the rights for the Vidaamuyarchi OTT release. Netflix has been the go-to platform so far for the release of a few of the South Indian gems. However, Netflix hasn’t posted any confirmed announcements yet about the release.
Vidaamuyarchi OTT Release: Cast And Plot
The film is a Tamil action thriller written and directed by Magizh Thirumeni. It stars Ajith Kumar as the lead character, with Trisha Krishnan, Arjun Sarja, Arav, Regina Cassandra, and Ramya Subramanian in supporting roles. The story follows a married couple whose trip takes a disturbing turn when the wife goes missing. The husband searches for her while facing challenges from an unknown villain. Anirudh Ravichander composed the film's music, Om Prakash handles the cinematography, and N. B. Srikanth oversees the editing. Subaskaran Allirajah produced the film under Lyca Productions.
