FX’s unsettling new series ‘The Beauty’ is quickly proving that perfection comes at a terrifying cost. Blending body horror, social satire and crime drama, the show has sparked intense online discussion since its premiere. With Episode 4 around the corner, viewers are eager to know when it drops in India, and what fresh horrors await.
Created by Matthew Hodgson and Ryan Murphy, the minds behind American Horror Story and Glee, The Beauty is adapted from the graphic novel by Jeremy Haun and Jason A. Hurley. The series explores a world obsessed with physical perfection, where beauty is not just currency, it’s a weapon.

‘The Beauty’ premiered with its first three episodes on January 21, 2026 on FX and Hulu in the US. Indian viewers got access a day later, with the series streaming on JioHotstar from January 22, 2026.
The season consists of 11 episodes, with new episodes dropping weekly.
Episode 3 pushes the series deeper into disturbing territory. FBI agents Cooper Madsen (Evan Peters) and Jordan Bennett (Rebecca Hall) uncover crucial links between the deaths of models and an underground beauty programme tied to powerful elites. The episode reveals more about the virus that enhances physical appearance, while silently destroying the body from within.
Ashton Kutcher’s Byron Forst, the enigmatic face of ‘The Corporation’, becomes increasingly unsettling. His calm, corporate demeanour contrasts sharply with the grotesque consequences of his product. The episode ends on a chilling note, suggesting that the virus may not be limited to models anymore, raising the stakes considerably.

Episode 4 is expected to dive deeper into the origins of the virus and its disturbing testing methods. The cryptic title hints at grotesque experimentation and ethical boundaries being crossed without remorse.
Viewers can also expect Ashton Kutcher’s character to take centre stage, offering more insight into how far the powerful are willing to go to maintain control.
The show also features high-profile guest appearances by Bella Hadid, Nicola Peltz Beckham, Vincent D’Onofrio, Billy Eichner, Ben Platt and Meghan Trainor, among others.

At its core, ‘The Beauty’ is a sharp critique of unrealistic beauty standards and the billion-dollar industries that profit from insecurity. Through crime investigation and horror imagery, the series asks an uncomfortable question: how much would people sacrifice to be considered beautiful?
With Episode 4 set to raise the bar on both horror and storytelling, ‘The Beauty’ is shaping up to be one of the most provocative shows of 2026.
