Bollywood fans can expect some major surprises. Salman Khan, Ranveer Singh, and Karan Johar will appear as themselves in the series, adding a layer of realism to Aryan’s fictionalised Bollywood world.
Reports suggest that Shah Rukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Aamir Khan might also feature in special cameos, although Netflix has not confirmed these appearances yet.
The preview of ‘The Ba***ds of Bollywood' showcases a fast-paced, stylised narrative infused with self-aware humour and a satirical edge. The show positions itself as an underdog story, asking sharp questions: How far will you go for your dream? What are you willing to sacrifice? And can you survive the power play of Bollywood’s baddies?
Gauri Khan produces the series under the banner of Red Chillies Entertainment. Executive producers include Bonnie Jain and Akshat Verma. Aryan Khan co-created the show with Bilal Siddiqi and Manav Chauhan, with all three contributing to the writing.

At the launch event, Aryan Khan shared his thoughts, “With The Ba*ds of Bollywood, I wanted to build a world that feels alive, a mix of glitz and grit, where ambition shines, egos clash, and nothing is ever as it seems. In Netflix, we found a partner who shared our creative vision, helping us tell the story exactly how it needed to be told, raw, stylised, and something the world has never experienced before.”
The ‘Ba***ds of Bollywood’ premieres September 18, 2025, only on Netflix.
