The movie is a sports biographical drama based on the life of football coach Syed Abdul Rahim. Reportedly, the digital rights of Maidaan have been acquired by Amazon Prime Video. While there were reports about Maidaan having its OTT release in June, according to a report published in Vogue, Maidaan will be releasing Amazon Prime Video On June 5.

Maidaan Goes Rent-Free

Amazon Prime Video recently announced that Maidaan is available for streaming on its platform. ''ground maidaan breaking story of India’s finest hour in football,'' the Instagram post was captioned. Initially, viewers had to pay a fee to watch the movie. The good news is that starting today, all Prime Video subscribers can stream it for free. Currently, the movie is available only in Hindi with English subtitles, with no information yet on versions in other languages.

Apart from Devgn, the movie also stars Priyamani, Gajraj Rao, and Rudrani Ghosh.
