Potterheads assemble! HBO’s Harry Potter TV series has finally found its new golden trio for the Wizarding World franchise. Ever since the buzz for the HP reboot started, fans have been wholeheartedly waiting to see who will be playing the trio—Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, and Ron Weasley. As per the latest reports, Dominic McLaughlin, Arabella Stanton and Alastair Stout are officially locked in to play Harry, Hermione and Ron in the upcoming HBO show. The characters were originated by Daniel Radcliff, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint for the HP film franchise.
HBO Reveals The Young Cast For Harry Potter TV Series
Reportedly, more than 30,000 kids auditioned since HBO launched an open casting call last fall. At last, the makers have found their young wizards. Announcing the news on Instagram, HBO wrote, “Dear Mr. Potter, Miss Granger, and Mr. Weasley: We are pleased to inform you that you have a place at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Please welcome Dominic McLaughlin as Harry Potter, Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger, and Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley to the HBO Original Series Harry Potter.”

The talent of these three unique actors is wonderful to behold, and we cannot wait for the world to witness their magic together onscreen. It’s been a real pleasure to discover the plethora of young talent out there,” said showrunner Francesca Gardiner and executive producer and director Mark Mylod in a statement.

About The Young Cast Of Harry Potter Series
The young lead actors selected to play Harry, Hermione, and Ron in the HP TV series are largely newcomers. While McLaughlin has starred in ‘Grow’, an upcoming comedy on Sky alongside Nick Frost and Golda Rosheuvel, Stanton has played Matilda in ‘Matilda: The Musical’ on the West End from 2023-2024. HP series will be Stout’s first major role.
