After months of rumours and speculations, HBO has finally confirmed the first six cast members who will be gracing the new Harry Potter show. The iconic HP movie series which was adapted from J. K. HBO Reveals Harry Potter TV Series First Six Cast Members
Six cast members playing characters including Albus Dumbledore, Minerva McGonagall, Severus Snape, Rubeus Hagrid, Professor Quirrell and Argus Filch were announced on Monday as the series approaches its filming date.

“We are happy to announce the casting of John Lithgow, Janet McTeer, Paapa Essiedu, Nick Frost, Luke Thallon and Paul Whitehouse to play Dumbledore, McGonagall, Snape, Hagrid, Quirrell and Filch,” said Francesca Gardiner, showrunner and executive producer and Mark Mylod, director of multiple episodes and executive producer, in a statement. “We’re delighted to have such extraordinary talent onboard, and we can’t wait to see them bring these beloved characters to new life.”
