Bigg Boss Season 19: Salman Khan To Host With 3 Others, OTT Premiere Date, And Tentative Contestants' List

Speculation around Salman Khan's popular reality show has intensified over recent months. Sources confirm that Bigg Boss Season 19 will premiere this year with significant changes to the show's format and hosting structure. The new season promises to be the longest yet, with major shifts in how viewers will access the content.

Bigg Boss Season 19 Release Date, Salman Khan Joined by 3 Celebrity Hosts

Bigg Boss Season 19 is expected to be the longest-running season, stretching over five months. As per reports, it will premiere on the last weekend of August, specifically on August 29 and 30, 2025.

According to sources, Salman Khan will not be the sole host for the entire season. He will reportedly host the first three months, after which Farah Khan, Karan Johar, and Anil Kapoor may step in as co-hosts or special segment presenters.

One source revealed, “The makers are planning to bring in different celebrities as special hosts. After Salman finishes his three-month-long stint, they will bring in others to take over. Salman will return for the grand finale.”

Bigg Boss Season 19 New Format

Bigg Boss 19 will adopt a digital-first approach, streaming simultaneously on television and OTT platforms. However, fresh episodes will debut on JioHotstar first, followed by Colors TV broadcasts after one and a half hours.

"The makers are making this season as a digital-first property. This means the show will run simultaneously on TV and OTT; however, the fresh episodes will drop on Jio Hotstar first, and after one and a half hours, the same episode will appear on Colors TV," a source explained.

Bigg Boss Season 19 Contestant List (Tentative)

The casting process is reportedly in full swing, with contracts being rolled out and auditions still ongoing. According to industry sources, over 20 public figures have been approached, and around 15 contestants are expected to enter the house initially, followed by 3 to 5 wildcard entries.
