Invest in water-resistant baggage to keep your belongings dry. Naina says, “Look for bags made from materials like nylon or polyester with a water-repellent coating. Some bags even come with built-in rain covers for added protection.”

Use Rain Covers

Purchase a bag that comes with a rain cover. “These covers are designed to fit snugly over your bags, providing an additional layer of protection against rain,” says Naina. “They are lightweight, easy to pack, and can be used for backpacks (Hacks To Organise Your Backback), suitcases, and duffel bags,” she added. 

Pack Valuable In Waterproof Pouches

Pack your valuables like electronics and IDs in waterproof pouches or dry bags for extra protection. “By using these pouches, even if water seeps through your luggage, your valuables will remain safe and dry,” says Naina.

Use Plastic Wraps and Ziplock Bags

Affordably safeguarding your valuables includes wrapping them in plastic or using ziplock bags. You can place your clothes, electronics, and even toiletries in ziplock bags before stuffing them in your backpack to “create an additional barrier against moisture.”

Opt for Roll-Top Closure Bags

Opt for roll-top closure bags if you prefer carrying small baggage. Naina says, “These bags are designed to be more water-resistant than traditional zippered closures, providing better protection against rain.”

Avoid Overpacking

Avoid overpacking your luggage as it can cause it to bulge, making it harder to cover with a rain cover or plastic wrap. “Keep your packing minimal (Minimal Mehndi Designs) and organised to ensure all items can be adequately protected,” says Naina.
