From January 14th to February 26th, 2025, the Prayagraj Maha Kumbh Mela 2025 will be held on the banks of the Triveni Sangam in Prayag (Allahabad). The festival is full of cultural and religious activities along with a plethora of social arrangements from local delicacies and Langars to cultural performances and art installations. According to ancient scriptures, Lord Vishnu dropped four drops of Amrit at each of these locations, Allahabad, Haridwar, Ujjain, and Nasik during the Samudra Manthan as he was carrying it in a Kumbha (pot). Since then, these four places became the holy places of the Kumbh Mela.
