The first edition of the Women’s Premier League kicked off with a bang at the DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai over the weekend. It was a truly star studded affair with Bollywood celebrities performing to an infectiously enthusiastic audience for the opening ceremony of the Women's Premier League 2023. The opening day of the event kick-started with ever-so- powerful performances delivered by Bollywood actors Kiara Advani, Kriti Sanon and Punjabi pop singer AP Dhillon.

The inauguration ceremony of the first of its kind cricketing event also saw the unveiling of the Women’s Premier League trophy at the closure of the ceremony. The much talked about ceremony of the WPL 2023 ended with the captains of the five franchise teams unveiling the trophy that they will be competing for.

Bollywood actor Kiara Advani started off the event as she arrived in a Swarovski encrusted hot pink jumpsuit teamed perfectly with a pair of high heeled silver boots to go. B-town’s current fav Kiara performed with full vigour to the tunes of a Hardy Sandhu number, Kyaa Baat Haii 2.0 from her latest movie venture Govinda Naam Mera where she starred alongside Vicky Kaushal.

Dressed in an embellished silver crop top and a neon green lehenga desi fit. The actor teamed the outfit to the T with beach waves and an uber pair of neon sneakers. The crowds were singing and dancing with the actor as she delivered epic thumkas wearing her eye catching jhumkas.
