What Is NCMC?

With the vision to access different public transport services with just one card, NCMC is a simple, unified solution to payment processes for transportation, toll taxes, parking fees, and more. The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs launched this card on March 4, 2019, under the Prime Minister's ‘One Nation One Card' vision. 

Key Features Of NCMC Card

• The NCMC card is a unified solution that provides its users with hassle-free commute-related transactions.
• It comes with Near Field Communication (NFC) technology, enabling the users to make tap-and-go payments, increasing the efficiency of the transactions and the users.
• To ensure user privacy and data protection, the card is equipped with strong safeguards for transactions.
• Offline payments are also an option added to the card for minimal reliance on network connectivity.

How To Apply For The National Common Mobility Card (NCMC)?

• The NCMC card is available in debit, credit, or prepaid RuPay card formats from over 25 partner banks. You have to first identify these banks and pick your favourite one at your convenience.
• You can apply for the NCMC card through online or offline procedures as per the bank’s guidelines. You will be required to submit your KYC documents for the process.
• You can easily top-up the card via net banking, mobile banking, or other authorised recharge points. You can use the NCMC card across various transport networks and retail outlets supporting NCMC payments once it is activated and funded.
