How To Update Address On Aadhar Card Online?
- First, you have to visit the My Aadhaar Portal, for this, head to the official UIDAI website - https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/ - and log in using your Aadhaar number or registered mobile number.

- Then, navigate to Address Update, and click on the ‘My Aadhaar’ tab and then select ‘Update Aadhaar.’ Choose ‘Update Address Online’ to proceed.
- Then, enter your Address Details and fill in the form with your new address information, including house number/name, street, locality, village/town, district, state, and pin code. Ensure accuracy and consistency with your proof of address documents.
- After this, upload the Proof of Address: Scan and upload a valid proof of address documents, such as your passport, voter ID, driving licence, bank statement, or utility bill (not older than 3 months).
- Finally, ‘Preview and Submit’: Carefully review all the entered details and proof documents. Once satisfied, click ‘Submit’ to initiate the update request.

- To track the status of your address update request on the My Aadhaar portal, use the Update Request Number (URN) you received via SMS and email.
How To Update Address On Aadhar Card Offline?
- For the offline procedure to update the address on your Aadhaar card, you are required to visit an Aadhaar Seva Kendra: Locate your nearest Aadhaar Seva Kendra (ASK), a designated centre for Aadhaar services. You can find a list of ASKs on the UIDAI website.
- Download and fill out the Aadhaar Update Form (Aadhaar Enrolment Update Form) from the UIDAI website. You can also get it from the ASK.

- Submit the completed form along with a valid proof of address document to the ASK officials.
- Then, you will have to undergo biometric verification (fingerprints and iris scan) for authentication.
- After the verification, you'll receive an acknowledgement slip containing a Service Request Number (SRN). Use this SRN to track your update request status online or by calling the UIDAI helpline (1948).
