Uunchai, the Hindi film starring Amitabh Bachchan, Boman Irani, Parineeti Chopra, Neena Gupta, and Anupam Kher, among others, took off well at the box office and showed massive growth even on Monday, November 14, 2022. The film released in theatres on November 11.
Directed by Sooraj Barjatiya, the film followers three aged friends who take a trek to the Everest Base Camp in order to fulfil the last wish of their fourth friend. As they battle their physical limitations and discover the meaning of freedom, the film unfolds as the trek takes a simple, emotional, and spiritual journey. The film also stars Sarika, Danny Denzongpa, Nafisa Ali Sodhi, Sheen Dass, Abhishek SIngh Pathania, and Raju Kher.
On its opening day, the film did decently well by collecting ₹1.65-1.75 crore nett with its release in only 25% of the theatres in the country, as per Box Office India. This is comparatively way more than what films like Janhvi Kapoor’s Mili, Sonakshi Sinha and Huma Qureshi starrer Double XL earned on their first days and even on weekends.

Taking the numbers to almost doubles, Uunchai collected ₹3.25 crores nett on Saturday followed by ₹4.5 crores nett on Sunday.
