The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup is happening again! This cricket tournament by the International Cricket Council will take place in the Caribbean and the United States from June 1 to 29. 20 teams will compete for the title, which is currently held by England.

ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Format

• Matches are split into two group rounds and a knockout round, starting with the semifinals.
• In the first group stage, teams are split into four groups of five teams each.
• After playing round-robin matches, the top two teams from each group move on to the Super Eight stage.
• In the Super Eight stage, teams in both groups 1 and 2 play each other in a round-robin format.
• The top two teams from each Super Eight group then advance to the semifinals.

Where will the T20 World Cup Semi-Final & Final be played?

As per ICC, the T20 World Cup 2024 semifinals are scheduled to take place at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy and Providence Stadium in Guyana on June 26 and 27. As for the final, it will be held at the Kensington Oval in Barbados on June 29.
