Sonam and Delhi-based entrepreneur Anand Ahuja are celebrating their first wedding anniversary today. The couple, who got married in Mumbai in a traditional Anand Karaj ceremony, in the presence of close family, friends and Bollywood fraternity, have never shied away from expressing their love and affection for each other on social media. Reflecting on the one year they've spent as a married couple, Anand Ahuja wrote an emotional stirring note for his actress wife. He took Instagram and shared the following pictures and calling Sonam a 'blessing' in his life.
"Today, to reflect on one year of marriage and three years being together - nothing could be more of a blessing than to have your life partner be your best friend and also be the person that is supportive but pushes you to be better... to be the person that is unconditionally loving but will tell you when you're wrong ... and to be the person that will lead you into and through your fears - not allowing you to run away from them. Happy Anniversary to my love, Sonam Kapoor... you're my guiding star!"
Anand also shared a throwback picture with Sonam on his Instragram which he claimed to be his "favourite picture". He added that "Today we celebrate not only 1 year of marriage but 3 years of being “boyfriend-girlfriend”."

How Sonam And Anand Met
The love story of this cute couple goes way beyond just their much-publicised wedding. Being friends and doing goofy things together has always been the best part of a relationship. According to reports, Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja met for the first time in 2014 through a common friend, Pernia Qureshi. Pernia was Sonam's stylist, and was also good friends with Anand. Apparently, Anand, a sneakers enthusiast and the owner of popular sneaker brand VegNonVeg, popped the question to Sonam a month after being introduced to her.

Sonam and Anand turned heads when they attended the Rustom success bash of 2016 together. It was their first public appearance. Rumours began spreading like wildfire, though Sonam chose not to comment on it. They were then spotted at an Art Fair in March 2017, which made it more evident that the two weren't worried about being seen together in public. However, they remained tight-lipped about their relationship. Though Sonam has been reserved about talking about her relationship in public, Anand wasn't as cautious. In 2017, he confessed to a magazine, that he has a "millennial" style crush on Sonam.
