• The woman with Shani Dosh in her horoscope is advised not to touch the idol of Shanidev as it can lead to an increase in negative energy and negative effects on her life. 
• Also, it is a taboo for women to offer mustard oil to Shani Dev and they should not do it even by mistake.
• To please him, you should donate things related to Shani like mustard oil, black clothes, black shoes, things made of iron etc. 

Why Women Should Not Offer Mustard Oil To Shani Dev

According to the legend, when the wife of Shanidev went to him with the desire to have a son, being a great devotee of Lord Krishna, he didn’t pay attention to or even look at his wife as he was engrossed in meditation of Shri Krishna.

This angered his wife and she cursed him that whoever he looks at will get destroyed. This led to the belief that one should never make eyes with his idol. Because of the curse, women are prohibited from offering mustard oil to the effigy of Shanidev.

While worshipping him, women should look at his idol only from a distance and not look at his eyes. 

Mantras To Chant During Shani Dev Puja

Women should perform the rituals of Shanidev’s puja from a distance and chant these mantras while doing so.
