As per Bollywood Life, Sharda Sinha spent her early married life with her in-laws in Begusarai, where her mother-in-law held conservative views on women performing publicly. Although Sharda was permitted to sing devotional songs within the home, singing in public was strictly discouraged. After her marriage, the village head recognised her talent and approached her father-in-law, asking him to allow her to perform devotional songs at the local temple.
