Shamshera starring Ranbir Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt, Vani Kapoor, and Ronit Boseroy has been released in the theatres today on July 22, 2022. The film is produced under the Yash Raj Films banner and has been released in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. While the ‘Ji Huzoor’ song has more than 40 million views on YouTube, the movie has been making some noise on the internet because fans have been waiting to see Kapoor in action for more than four years. Fans are praising Kapoor and Dutt’s performances in the film. One of the users tweeted, “Go and watch Shamshera in theatres. (It is) one of the best performances of Ranbir Kapoor along with Sanjay Dutt. Buy your ticket and enjoy the rollercoaster ride. The battle between them is going to be legendary.”

Another user wrote, “Watched Shamshera today and totally loved it.” Another one wrote that he had watched the movie in theatres today and would go again to watch it with family over the weekend.

However, not everyone is full of praise on Twitter. A user reviewed the movie on the platform and said, “First half was slow.” However, he was blown away by the climax and seeing Kapoor in action. He added how he, “expected a bit of crisp editing and more screen time for Sanjay Dutt.”

Taran Adarsh, a movie critic called the film ‘unbearable’. He gave it half a star and said that “even Ranbir Kapoor’s star-power cannot save this ship from sinking.” He called it an ‘epic disappointment’.

Another critic Sumit Kadel tweeted, “On to the second half of Shamshera - 20 minutes done. The first half is average, has some moments but expected more from the story front… BGM (background music) is good.”

Alia Bhatt Urged Fans On Instagram To Watch Shamshera

Taking to her Instagram account, Alia Bhatt shared an image wearing a blue t-shirt that had ‘Kapoor’ written on it in Hindi. The Gangubai Kathiawadi actor’s caption read, “It’s Kapoor Day! Shamshera is in theatres now!!! Go Watch.”
