The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra, the next-generation premium smartphone from the company, is already generating a lot of buzz well ahead of its official unveil. Though none of the details has been confirmed by the company so far, multiple media reports and industry leaks have given a fairly good idea of what one can expect from the 2026 flagship.
As per media reports, Samsung is planning to launch the company’s highly-awaited smartphone model Galaxy S26 Ultra in February 2026 at its annual Galaxy Unpacked. As reported in various media reports, this launch event might take place at the end of February 2026. This might give a boost to the production of this highly-anticipated model of smartphones amidst this period.
After this announcement, the smartphone will reportedly go on sale in the mid-March 2026 period.

Pricing details remain unofficial, but media reports suggest that Samsung will keep its premium pricing intact. In India, the price of the Galaxy S26 Ultra is tipped to be anywhere between ₹1,35,000 and ₹1,70,000, considering different RAM and storage variants. The top-end variant could offer up to 16GB RAM and 1TB internal storage.
If things go on cue, the base model might just begin around $1,299 in the US market, which would be largely in line with the preceding Ultra generation.
The upcoming Galaxy S26 Ultra may come with better power efficiency with the power consumption of the screen reduced for the OLED display. The brightness of the Galaxy S26 Ultra is also to be further improved compared to the previous models with the introduction of better glare.
The design of the upcoming Galaxy S26 Ultra may not see major changes. The handset may have a slimmer design with slightly rounded corners and new rear camera housing.

The phone is expected to retain its 200MP primary camera but with enhanced lens coating to minimise reflection issues. The setup is expected to feature an advanced ultra-wide sensor along with the telephoto zoom with 5 times optical zoom capability.

Media reports indicate that the Galaxy S26 Ultra may sport a battery with a capacity in the range of 5,000mAh to 5,400mAh. Perhaps one of the major updates could be 60W fast wired charging, although previous Ultra models did not feature this. Wireless charging remains a mystery for the time being.

Under the hood, the device is expected to have a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor from the popular chipset manufacturing company Qualcomm in a few regions and Samsung's own Exynos 2600 processor in others, and both these chipsets have been expected to enhance efficiency, artificial intelligence weight, and better ease in terms of multitasking.
