Samsung has officially unveiled its most powerful flagship yet at the Galaxy Unpacked 2026 event held today, February 25, 2026. The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra arrives with a refined design, a breakthrough privacy display, and the next generation of Galaxy AI, solidifying its place as the premier Android smartphone of the year.
Samsung has maintained a premium pricing strategy for the Ultra, reflecting the rising costs of advanced AI hardware and RAM.
12GB + 256GB: ₹1,38,000
12GB + 512GB: ₹1,47,000
16GB + 1TB: ₹1,61,000 Launch Offer: Samsung is currently offering a free storage upgrade in India, where customers who pre-reserve the 256GB model will be automatically upgraded to the 512GB variant at no extra cost.
The S26 Ultra features a familiar but highly optimised quad-camera array, now housed in a slightly redesigned pill-shaped island for better sensor protection.
Rear Cameras: 200MP Main (f/1.7) + 50MP Periscope (5x Optical Zoom) + 50MP Ultra-wide + 10MP Telephoto (3x Optical).
Selfie Camera: An upgraded 12MP front sensor with a wider 85-degree field-of-view, perfect for group shots.
Colours: The hero shade for 2026 is Cobalt Violet. Other standard options include Titanium Black, Titanium Silver, and Titanium White. Online-exclusive colours include Jade Green and Pink Gold.
Processor: The heart of the device is the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 ‘For Galaxy,’ which delivers a 35% boost in power efficiency and industry-leading NPU speeds for real-time AI image editing.
Display: A massive 6.9-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel. The headline feature is the ‘Privacy Display’ (Flex Magic Pixel tech), which prevents onlookers from viewing your screen from an angle. It also reaches a staggering 3,000 nits peak brightness.

Battery: Retains the 5,000mAh capacity but upgrades to 60W wired fast charging and 25W Qi2 wireless charging (MagSafe compatible).
Software: Ships with One UI 8.5 (Android 16), featuring ‘Live Bixby’ for conversational AI that can change phone settings and browse the web instantly.
Build: A new Titanium frame with more rounded corners for better ergonomics compared to the sharp-edged S25 Ultra.
The Galaxy S26 Ultra is undoubtedly the most complete smartphone on the market. If you are a professional who relies on the S Pen, a photography enthusiast wanting the best 200MP/100x zoom capabilities, or someone who values the new Privacy Display tech for secure public use, it is well worth the investment. However, if you are currently using the S25 Ultra, the upgrades, while meaningful in performance, may feel incremental unless you specifically want the faster charging and new AI-integrated Bixby features.
