Isha Foundation Shared An Update On Instagram
In a video shared by Isha Foundation on Instagram, Dr Vinit Suri - a senior consultant neurologist at Apollo Hospital, who examined Sadhguru, said the spiritual guru was suffering from a severe headache for the last four weeks. “Despite his condition, Sadhguru had been performing his daily tasks and giving himself relentlessly to his gruelling schedule, including the Mahashivratri function conducted on March 8. He neglected his pain and continued with the meetings,” said Dr Suri.
However, on the morning of the 15th of March, things started to get out of Sadhguru’s hands, when he experienced agonising pain in his brain and he consulted Dr Suri at around 4 clock over the call. “We knew immediately that there was something sinister happening the way the pain worsened,” the senior consultant neurologist said.
“I insisted that he get an urgent MRI done but he wanted to attend a meeting scheduled for 6 pm. He told me that he had never missed a meeting in the last 40 years, and he couldn’t afford to miss this as well. But somehow we persuaded him to get the MRI done and it showed a massive bleeding in the brain,” Dr Suri said.
On being suggested to get admitted immediately by the doctors, Sadhguru went on to fulfil his commitments. However, on the morning of 17th March, the 66-year-old spiritual leader finally submitted to his worsening condition when he started experiencing drowsiness, and weakness in his left leg. He was then rushed to the medical facility.
