In a world where millions of people contribute to waste and overconsumption daily, we should do our part to prevent waste by recycling. No matter how bad it is for our health, all of us consume some form of soda. So next time you have an empty soda can in your hand, instead of tossing it in the bin, try these creative ways to repurpose it. Keep reading to learn more.

1. Recycled Soda Can Pen Stand

The cylindrical shape of soda cans makes them perfect for pen stands. Cut out the top of the soda can with a cutter. Paint the body of the can as you want, or you can cover the body with paper and then paint flowers or abstract art of your choice. Make sure to use gloves when you do this to prevent any cuts from the steel.

2. Reuse Soda Can To Make A Flower Vase

Repurposing old plastic bottles into flower pots or vases is very common. You can do the same with old soda cans. Wear gloves, and cut the opening of the soda can. If you want to make a flower pot, then stuff it generously with dirt and plant the flowers. Omit the dirt part if you want a minimal vase instead. Decorate the soda can and fill it with water before adding the flowers.

3. Turn Old Soda Cans Into Aesthetic Hanging Lights

You can collect five to ten soda cans and then use them to make aesthetic hanging lights. First, cut the top and bottom of the cans to make them hollow. Then connect all the cans with a string. You can attach pictures of your loved ones to the can. Take fairy lights and wrap them around the string through the cans, and your soda can hanging light is ready!
