Female Cyclist Preeti Maske, a 45-year-old woman from Pune sets a new world record by cycling 3,955 kilometres across seven Indian states—Gujarat, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh (UP), Bihar, West Bengal, Assam, and Arunachal Pradesh (AP)—in just 13 days, 19 hours, and 12 minutes. Before this, Maske successfully completed the difficult bicycle route from Leh to Manali, the golden quadrilateral, and Kashmir to Kanyakumari.
Maske is a housewife and the mother of two children. She enjoys playing hockey in addition to cycling with a passion. She recently made history by cycling solo from West to East in less than 14 days. Maske began cycling five years ago as a way of coping with her illness and depression. The documentation, verification, and time-stamped images have been submitted to and accepted by the World Ultra Cycling Association and Guinness World Records. They would take care of the situation and issue the certificate as quickly as possible, according to the expedition’s chief crew Ghanshyam Raghuwanshi told PTI.

In another post, she thanked all her supporters who supported her in this journey and wrote “Reached Home safely, Thank you, everyone, for your support and wishes without your support it was not possible.”

On this trip, Maske was accompanied by five members of her crew. She encountered a lot of difficulties along the way. mainly in Assam and Arunachal Pradesh. Also, it took some time for them to provide the information due to the poor network.

She was recognised as the only female cyclist to complete the 5-day, 5-hour journey on bicycle from Nashik, Maharashtra (Exploring The Beauty of Magnificent Maharashtra) to Amritsar, Punjab. She also has the title of SR Super Randonneur. Earlier also along with two cyclists, she completed the Kashmir to Kanyakumari cycling journey in 17 days and 17 hours, a Group World record for the fastest completion.
