This Was Nita Ambani's 'Only Condition' To Marry Mukesh Ambani

One of the biggest and richest business tycoons of India, Mukesh Ambani is married to Nita Ambani. The duo makes a perfect couple and is blessed with three children- Akash, Anand & Isha. However, according to an interview, Nita had a condition to marry the business tycoon.

During an interaction with a leading news portal, Mukesh Ambani opened up about how he proposed the Boss Lady and how things worked in their favour.

It all started when Dhirubhai Ambani spotted Nita at a dance recital. The story goes that he called her a couple of days later and asked her to meet him. This shook Nita to the core and she couldn't believe it that Dhirubhai himself called her. After reaching to office, Dhirubhai Ambani asked if she'd like to meet his elder son, Mukesh, and that's how they met!

Though Nita liked Mukesh Ambani's humble nature, but she still wasn't sure about marriage. But Mukesh Ambani was quite sure about Nita and was ready to take their relationship to the next level.

“Nita was really the first girl. I had pretty much made up my mind that this is it, this is my life partner. I could sense in Nita that she was there and not there also", Mukesh Ambani told the portal.

After a few meetings, at a busy interaction in Mumbai, the billionaire industrialist popped the question and insisted her to give an answer amidst the traffic snarls. "Once when we were driving on Peddar Road, it just occurred to me and said Nita will you marry me, say yes or no now in the car." To this Nita replied, "Yes" but with a condition!

Nita expressed her desire to work even after marriage to which he agreed and now she runs the Dhirubhai Ambani International School, which is a testament to her love for teaching and nation-building.

However, Nita left her job after a few years andstarted taking an active part in Reliance Group. Interestingly, in a recent interview with a news daily, Mukesh Ambani revealed that he always wanted to be a teacher. "Until my father brought me into Reliance I was pretty sure that I wanted to study in a US university, hopefully a little bit of time either work at the World Bank or teach as a professor."

"So with my wife being a teacher, she is now saying that it is high time that you teach. Both of us will be involved in the education in the coming years, that is something that we want to do more for our own satisfaction than anything else," he added.
