Its been a few days since screenshots of filthy conversations of teenage boys from Delhi schools leaked on social media. Students of class 11th and 12th, members of this group, Bois Locker Room discussed gang-raping girls, morphing pictures, and objectifying girls their age.

The conversations in the group were out on the net after one of the members of the group took screenshots and sent it to someone else. One of the investigating officers said, “Once the screenshots emerged in the public domain, the group was deleted and another one created. Some girls were added in the new group to mislead police.”

One after the other, netizens started to share screenshots of these chats on social media and expressed their anger.

Mira Kapoor Asks Parents To Teach Their Sons To Respect

Mira Kapoor took to Instagram handle and shared a long post. She wrote, “So, if you're raising a boy in India, consider this a plea. Our lives are in your hands. Instead of our parents teaching us caution, start teaching your sons consent. Instead our parents teaching us fear, start teaching your sons respect. Teach your sons about gender equality. Teach your sons what ‘No’ means. Teach your sons that they aren't entitled to any woman's body, attention or time. Instead of our parents teaching us modesty, teach your sons about personal space. Instead of our parents teach us to avert gazes, teach your sons not to stare. Teach your sons about healthy masculinity, healthy romance and healthy sexual relationships."

“Teach your sons how to express emotion. That violence is not an option. That nobody, no matter what they are wearing or drinking, 'deserves' or 'asks for' it. Instead of our parents teaching us to be wary of men, raise your sons to be men who don't need to be feared. Instead of our parents teaching us how to avoid assault, teach your sons that it is unforgivable to assault women. Instead of our parents teaching us how to navigate an untrustworthy world, teach your sons to change it,” the post further read.

Swara Bhasker too took to Twitter and shared, "#boyslockerroom a telling tale of how toxic masculinity starts young! Underage boys gleefully planning how to rape & gangrape minor girls. Parents & teachers must address this with those Kids.. Not enough to ''hang rapists''.. we must attack the mentality that creates rapists!"

Richa Chadha Calls It A Multi-Faceted Problem

Richa Chadha called it a multi-faceted problem. She said, “This a multi-faceted problem. Because everyone is still squeamish about sex education in our populous/moralistic country, teenagers are confusing porn for sex education! And now data is free. How dangerous! This will explode in our faces in the next five years sadly, I reckon.”

Admin of this group, Bois Locker room was arrested recently. Delhi police has also identified 27 members of the group, some of them are 18 and some underage.
