Lok Sabha Election 2019 Results: From TV To Amethi, Smriti Irani's Journey To The World Of Politics

Lok Sabha Elections Results 2019 are out and no one can keep calm. The BJP took an early lead ever since the counting began and has won big this time. Smriti Irani, the dynamic leader of the Bhartiya Janata Party has taken a lead against rival Rahul Gandhi. Smriti took to her Twitter this morning and thanked Amethi for supporting her party. Here is what she wrote:

Now, let's quickly take you through her journey. Smriti Irani began her journey with Ekta Kapoor's show Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. Soon she became a household name and television's favoruite bahu. Later, she decided to step into the world of politics. Even after losing against Kapil Sibal in the year 2004 from the Maharashtra Youth Wing, she continued her journey in the political world. 

Smriti Irani worked for women's rights and protection in the years that followed as the All India President Of the BJP women's wing till she was finally appointed as the Minister of HR Development in the cabinet under Narendra Modi's government. 

Smriti Irani also lost her Human Resource Development leadership in the year 2016 and was given the Ministry Of Textiles. She was then also given the charge of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. 

This year, Smriti Irani is standing against Rahul Gandhi from Amethi. Now everyone has their eyes set on Amethi because the Gandhi family usually leads from here. For now, the numbers coming out are actually speaking it all. 

Smriti Irani's close friend, Ekta Kapoor is really rooting for her and she even took to her Instagram handle to share a message for her. Sharing a picture of the results coming out on TV, she wrote, "All eyes on #amethi we r rooting for our aunt."
