It is our Bebo’s 42nd birthday and she is still as glamorous and talented as ever. Actor Kareena Kapoor made her acting debut in 2000 with the Hindi film Refugee and further went on to deliver several box-office hits as well as critically acclaimed roles.

From rom coms such as Mujhse Dosti Karoge, and Yaadein to several unconventional roles such as in Asoka, Chameli, and Omkara, among others, Kapoor established herself in Bollywood and excelled in most of them. Omkara

The 2006 Hindi crime drama film is the adaptation of William Shakespeare’s Othello directed by Vishal Bharadwaj. The film featured an ensemble cast comprising Ajay Devgn, Kapoor, Konkona Sen Sharma, Vivek Oberoi, and Bipasha Basu. The film is the second in Bharadwaj’s trilogy of Shakespeare’s adaptions after Maqbool (Macbeth). Kapoor plays the role of Dolly Mishra, a bride who is abducted by Omkara.

Asoka

The 2001 Hindi film Asoka starring Shah Rukh Khan and Kapoor is an epic historical drama film directed and co-written by Santosh Sivan. The film is a dramatised version of the early life of emperor Asoka of the Maurya dynasty, who ruled most of the Indian subcontinent in the 3rd century BCE. Kapoor plays the role of Kaurwaki, who Asoka met during his travels and later falls in love with.

Jab We Met
