Kajol-Vishal Jethwa’s Salaam Venky First Look Released

On Thursday, the first look of the drama film Salaam Venky was shared by Kajol and Vishal N. Jethwa on their Instagram handles. In the picture, Kajol can be seen in a plain red saree, pushing a man in a wheelchair carrying bags full of vegetables. Both the actors can be seen smiling.

Sharing the look, they captioned, “Ek Badi Zindagi ka Bada Celebration is about to begin!❤️ #SALAAMVENKY Trailer out on November 14th! Catch the incredible journey of Sujata and Venkatesh only in cinemas on 9th December!”

About The Film

Salaam Venky is an upcoming drama film directed by Revathi and produced by Suraj Singh, Shraddha Agrawal, and Varsha Kukreja. It features Kajol and Vishal N. Jethwa in the lead role. Revathy Asha Kelunni, Aahana S Kumra, Rahul Bose, and Rajeev Khandelwal will also be starring in the film.

Kajol will be playing the character named Sujata and Vishal N. Jethwa will play Venkatesh in the film. The film is scheduled to be released in cinemas on December 9, 2022.

In a statement, film director Revathy said that Kajol was always her top pick for Sujata's role in the film. She said, "Her soft yet energetic eyes and her beautiful smile will make you believe that anything is possible and that is exactly how Sujata is. I am very excited about this collaboration and to be working with Kajol for this heartening story".

On the work front, Kajol was last seen in the 2021 Netflix film Tribhanga, which revolved around a dysfunctional family of three women and their unconventional life choices. She will also be making her web series debut with The Good Wife in which she will play the lead role.
