Known for playing the character of Naira in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Shivani Joshi is a popular household name. She started her journey in 2013, when she played Nisha in Khelti Hai Zindagi Aankh Micholi, and now, she is one of the contestants on Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 12.
Shivangi Joshi: A Sensation
Her appearance in Khatron Ke Khiladi 12, which will air on July 2 on Colors TV, will mark her debut in reality TV shows. She has been sharing dance reels where she is seen grooving with actor Jannat Zubair on the song Saiya Dil Mein Aana Re.
The actress has become one of the biggest sensations on Indian television for her new avatar in Khatron Ke Khiladi 12. Up until now, she has mostly played coy characters of daughters-in-law in serials. Soon we will get to see her performing daring stunts on KKK 12.
Hosted by Rohit Shetty, the show will also star Sriti Jha, Rajiv Adatia, Rubina Dilaik, Jannat Zubair and other renowned celebrities.

Shivangi On Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata
In 2016, Shivangi Joshi joined the cast of the popular show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai which aired on Star Plus. She played the role of the daughter of Akshara, played by Hina Khan. She played Naira for almost six years and bid the show adieu in 2021.
After Hina Khan left the show, Naira became the lead, and along with Mohsin Khan, she struggled to keep the family together. In the later part of the show, she fell off the cliff while saving her husband and died. A few months on in the show, she returned to play the role of her identical twin character called Sirat, who was also killed off by the writers soon after.
While bidding farewell to the show, Shivangi took to her Instagram and shared an emotional note. It stated, “It wasn’t just a show, it was my life, my home.” She further added, “For an outsider, it would have been no less than a girl’s bidaai scene. I take all possible emotions a human being would have from the sets of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai.”

Shivangi On Balika Vadhu Journey
In December 2021, Shivangi Joshi joined Balika Vadhu 2 as Anandi. The show, which aired on Colors, was already a household name because of its previous season that aired on the same network in 2008. The role of Anandi was then played by Avika Gaur and later, Pratyusha Banerjee carried the story forward.
Much like Naira, Anandi’s character was a ‘sanskari’ daughter and daughter-in-law. She was an intelligent woman whose everyday life was filled with twists and turns, and antics thrown in by the negative characters on the show.
However, season 2 did not fetch good TRP ratings. It went off air in March 2022. Speaking about the failure of the show with Bollywood Life, Shivangi said that makers and fans had high hopes for the show as it had a good story, but it did not pan out the way they wished.
