Jharkhand Mukhyamantri Maiya Samman Yojana:Jharkhand Mukhyamantri Maiya Samman Yojana: The Jharkhand Mukhyamantri Maiya Samman Yojana is an initiative by the state government to support women, particularly homemakers, with financial assistance. Launched to provide economic relief and empowerment, this scheme offers monthly financial aid directly into the bank accounts of eligible women. The state government is all set to transfer funds to women beneficiaries under the Chief Minister Maiya Samman Yojana, once their verification and Aadhaar linking are completed.

The payments for January and February 2025 will be credited to the verified beneficiaries' accounts in the coming days. The Women and Social Welfare and Social Security Department has already sent the funds for March 2025 to all districts.

According to the media reports, on January 6, 2024, Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren transferred Rs 1415.44 crore to Rs 56.61 lakh women in Jharkhand under Maiya Samman Yojana ahead of the Assembly election, as promised.He said, “Women typically invest a higher proportion of their income in family welfare compared to men. By necessitating bank accounts of women for transfers, we are bringing millions of women into the formal banking system for the first time.”

National Portal of India states, “The Jharkhand Chief Minister Maiya Samman Yojana provides financial assistance to women in the Antyodaya category. Under this scheme, women receive monthly assistance of Rs 2500. The government aims to support women from economically weaker sections through this initiative.”

Eligibility For Jharkhand Mukhyamantri Maiya Samman Yojana

i) The applicant should be a resident of Jharkhand.

ii) The applicant's age should be between 18-50 years.

iii) Ration card holder families of Jharkhand state - Green Ration Card, Yellow Ration Card (Antyodaya Anna Yojana), and Pink Ration Card (Pre-Vikta Prapt Grihastha Card)

iv) If your bank account is not linked to Aadhaar, you can still receive the benefits of the scheme until December 2024. However, after that, it will be mandatory to link your bank account to Aadhaar to continue receiving the benefits.

Benefits of Jharkhand Mukhyamantri Maiya Samman Yojana

The Department of Women, Child Development & Social Security introduced the Jharkhand Mukhyamantri Maiya Samman Yojana to improve the financial security and well-being of women in the state. Under this scheme, women beneficiaries receive Rs 2500 every month, which is directly deposited into their bank accounts by the 15th of each month.

Note: Women who are already receiving benefits from any other social security pension scheme run by the Women, Child Development and Social Security Department of Jharkhand, Ranchi, will not be eligible for the benefits of this scheme.

i) Aadhaar card

ii) Passport-size photograph

iii) Voter ID

iv) Pan card

v) Ration card

vi) Bank passbook

vii) Self-declaration letter

How To Apply For Jharkhand Mukhyamantri Maiya Samman Yojana

Step 1: Go to https://www.jharkhand.gov.in/ and download the application form.

Step 2: Fill the required details in the application form and attach copies of the necessary documents (self-attested, if needed).

Step 3: Submit the completed application form with the documents at the nearest Pragya Kendra or Block Development Officer’s office in rural areas and at the zonal officer's office in urban areas.


Step 4: After submitting, ask for a receipt or acknowledgment from the District Differently Abled Welfare Officer. Make sure the receipt includes the date, time of submission, and a unique identification number (if applicable).

Offline:

The interested applicant should visit the Anganwadi center or the office of the Block Development Officer/Zonal Officer during office hours and request a hard copy of the application form from the staff responsible for issuing and collecting filled-out forms.

By providing regular financial assistance, the scheme seeks to improve the quality of life for women, particularly homemakers, and support their active participation in family and community welfare.
