“I won this for my country. I am proud to be an Indian. It was very special to see the Tricolour flying and to hear the national anthem. I was getting goosebumps. I lost last year in the final and the year before that. I am really very, very happy. I have waited for this victory, and finally, I’ve become the world champion. I’ve no words to express my feelings because I was waiting for this, ”Sindhu told the media.
Komal Mangtani
At 32, Komal added a prominent feather in her cap when she made it to Forbes list of the World's Top 50 Women in Tech. She is a senior director at Uber and heads Business Intelligence, tracking customer service as well as financial interactions.
“Men tend to carve out a brand for themselves, and they don’t let the world define them. Women, largely, just work hard and try to do the right thing every day. But sometimes that’s not enough. You need to know where you’re going and not be bogged down by failures. Have a clear purpose, and move towards it—and don’t let anyone else define you,” Komal said in an interview with Forbes.
