Are you one of those shopaholics who use shopping as a therapy and end up revamping the closet way more often than needed? And what about those outfits that are yet too dear to donate? We understand the dilemma. So just for you here we have brought some creative ideas to decorate your home by rehashing these old clothes.
T-shirt Quilts
T-shirt quilts are a great way of utilising sentimental clothing and turning it into a cosy keepsake. The simplest sewing can help. Gather all your baggy T-shirts and start sewing them into a big quilt.
- Start with washing and ironing the T-shirts youwant to use.
- Cut out the front and back of the T-shirts.
- Begin sewing them together with a sewing machine.
- Once you are done you get a nice comfy and aesthetically pleasing quilt to cherish.
Funky Photo Frame
Next, we can move on to beautifying this ordinary photo frame. All we need is a nice printed T-shirt of our choice, cut the fabric according to the size of the frame and attach it to the frame with some glue.
- Take a basic photo frame. Iron the printed T-shirt nicely.
- Take out your photo and glue the front side.
- Place your frame front side down on the fabric.
- Pull the edges and secure it on the back with either glue or staplers
- Now take your knife and very carefully cut the front part keeping the edges straight.
- Your photo frame is ready!
Canvas Wallhang
If you have some of those T-shirts with nice quotes or designs that you still are in love with you can try attaching them with a canvas. Will definitely add to the aesthetic of your room.
- Start with Ironing the T-shirt.
- Next, cut enough fabric from the T-shirt that it fits on the front part of the canvas and goes till a little back for you to secure it with a stapler.
- Put your canvas face down. Pull the edge tightly and secure it to the back of the canvas with some staplers.
- There goes your beautiful wallhang!
Fluffy Rug
This one is so easy that you must try it. A fluffy colourful rug can be a nice addition to the overall pleasing look of your home.
- You need to gather a few colours of fabrics according to your choice and a crochet pad. You can definitely customise it.
- Cut them into small pieces big enough to just tie a knot on the crochet pad.
- Now start to tie a knot with those fabric pieces on the crochet pad.
- Go on to new colours of fabric as you go down.
- Design as you want.
Side Bag
Ever thought that the T-shirt you have shoved back in the closet to never see the daylight again can be a nice creator of a side bag for running those errands?
- Now take that T-shirt inside out and cut its sleeves and neckline.
- Make tiny cuts on the lower side and start tying it.
- Your side bag is ready to be taken out on a tour.
Pet Bed
If you are someone living with those furry babies then this could come in handy for you.
- Take a sweater and sew the neck area.
- Now fill in the body with cotton.
- Sew the arm and bottom too.
- Now sew the arms with the body.
- Tada! Your furry one’s bed is ready.
