5 Quick Hacks To Clean And Sanitise Glass Bottles For Reuse

The cleaning process of each glass bottle is different from each other. This is because of the food it contains. We all have glass bottles at our home that we plan to reuse but because of the leftover residues, they are sent for recycling. If you are planning to reuse glass bottles then here are the five quick cleaning hacks that you can apply to clean and sanitise the glass bottles.

Rice Water Method

Put a quarter cup of uncooked rice grains in the glass bottle you want to clean and add a teaspoon of liquid dishwashing into it. Now fill half of the bottle with water and cover the lid of the bottle. Now shake the bottle slowly for 20 to 30 seconds to mix the ingredients. Now rinse the bottle with clean water 2 to 3 times to drain the rice granules. Let it dry completely.

Double Boiler Method

Take a wide container and put enough water to boil. Let it boil for 5 -10 minutes. Now take the empty glass bottles you want to sanitise and put them inside the boiling water. Put the lids as well to ensure complete sterilisation. Let the bottles boil for 10 minutes and turn off the gas. Rinse the bottle with normal water once the temperature goes down. 

Vinegar Cleaning Method

Vinegar acts as a natural sanitiser, so you can use it for cleaning and sanitising your glass bottle (how to clean utensils). Fill the 3/4th portion of the glass bottle with white distilled vinegar and add hot water to the rest part. Let it sit for 10 minutes and rinse it with clean water.

Use Bottle Brush

For hard stains, you can use a bottle brush for cleaning. However, make sure you don’t put pressure while dealing with the stains. You can add liquid dishwashing detergent to smoothen the cleaning process.

Bicarbonate And Vinegar Method

Add 4 tablespoons of bicarbonate, 2 tablespoons of liquid soap, half glass of vinegar and half glass of hot water. Put the lid and shake for 30 seconds. Now rinse the bottle (how to clean water bottle from inside) with clean water.
