3. Whether you buy or make Ganesha idol yourself, ensure he is in a seated position. Also, include his faithful companion, the mouse (Mooshak), and a few modaks to invite positive energy into your home.
4. The ideal directions for installing the Lord Ganesha idol are east, west, or northeast, as this is considered auspicious.
