"Wa Bisawmi Ghadinn Nawaiytu Min Shahri Ramadan, Wahaulahu Alayhi Biqiyamihi, Wahidhni Bihurmatihi, Wa'afini Bi'afiyatihi, Wa'ghfirli Bi'ghufraanihi, Ya Allah."
Translation:
"I intend to keep the fast tomorrow in the month of Ramadan. O Allah, help me to stand in prayer (Taraweeh/Qiyam) during it, protect me through its sanctity, grant me health through Your well-being, and forgive me through Your forgiveness, O Allah."
An important practice observed during the month of Ramadan is having Sehr. The Sehri is a grand meal that people fasting have before starting their strict fast, which lasts from dawn till dusk. Muslims should recite this holy Roza dua for Sehri before they begin their Suhoor or Sehri daily. By offering this prayer, you are expressing your intention or Niyyah to fast. “Alhamdu lillahi aladhi 'at'amana wa'saqana, wa'ja'alana min almuslimin, wa'ghfir lana dhunubana, ya Allah.”
After hours of observing a strict fast from dawn till dusk, Muslims break their Roza with Iftaar. The Iftaar is an evening meal which is served at sunset to break the Roza. This Roza dua for Iftaar is recited after meals to thank Allah for sustenance and faith.
