Indians Mentioned In The Epstein Files: News around the infamous Epstein Files, belonging to sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, has been breaking headlines all across the globe. These files contain information about the activities which took place on Jeffrey’s private island, called the ‘Epstein Island’. Jeffery was convicted of charges of being a child sex offender, human trafficking, and rape. While this criminal has passed away, the horrors of his crimes continue to haunt and shock the world. These files have names of several international figures like US President Donald Trump, Bill Gates and many more. Now, the mention of many renowned Indians has also started being noticed. What Are The Epstein Files?

For those of you who don’t know what the Epstein Files are, they are an investigation being done against millionaire sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. These files have been put out in the public domain by the US Department of Justice. Recently, three million additional pages of the Epstein Files have been released under the Epstein Files Transparency Act. This act was signed into law by President Donald Trump on November 19, 2025. According to several media reports, there is still major information from the files being held back from public knowledge.

Anil Ambani

One of the most famous names you will find in the Epstein Files is Anil Ambani. He is one of the heirs to the Dhirubhai Ambani empire, which is one of the largest family businesses in India. The Epstein Library mentions ‘Anil’ over 300 times, and ‘Anil Ambani’ has 97 mentions in the pages that have been released till now. Out of all these mentions, their conversation from 2017 had gotten people’s attention where Epstein is saying he will arrange a ‘a tall Swedish blonde woman’ for Ambani’s visit.

Anurag Kashyap

Director Anurag Kashyap’s name has also been mentioned in these files. We see his name pop up as ‘a famous Bollywood director’ in an email chain. This chain consisted of Epstein, Giuseppe Bersani, Gino Yu, and Ornella Corazza discussing a meeting in Beijing in 2017. Kashyap has recently broken his silence on the matter and even talked to  Hindustan Times in an exclusive interview about the same, saying, “I’ve no clue about this. I get invitations as a speaker, about 15 a month. I rarely respond. Also, I have never been to Beijing in my life!”

Mira Nair

The Indian-American filmmaker Mira Nair has been making headlines ever since people spotted her name being mentioned in the files. Nair and Epstein were present at the same party on December 21, 2009. This party hosted guests like  Bill Clinton, Jeff Bezos, and Jean Pigoni. Later, Epstein was also invited as a guest to the ‘INDEPENDENT FILMMAKER PROJECT SPRING GALA’ where Nair was the Host committee in session.

Deepak Chopra

The infamous wellness guru, Deepak Chopra, has also been spotted in the Epstein files. Chopra had met with Epstein on several occasions, even after Epstein's 2008 conviction. The conversation that has been goingviral between the two is about Donald Trump's second wife, Marla Maples and a sexual abuse lawsuit filed by a minor. In the EPStein files, we get to see that their chats last til 2018.

Nandita Das

Actor-filmmaker Nandita Das’s name has also been mentioned in the Epstein Files. She was named in connection with an event invitation as well. Epstein was reportedly invited to the Lake District Festival in England, where Das was listed as one of the speakers. 

Hardeep Singh Puri

Lastly, we move on to the last and popular politician Puri had joined the BJP in 2014 and entered Narendra Modi’s government as a minister in September 2017. He is currently holding the portfolio for petroleum and natural gas. The files have details of meetings at the infamous Epstein’s Manhattan townhouse. Puri clarified these were all work-related interactions regarding Indian business upcoming opportunities and stated he was unaware of Epstein’s criminal history at the time.
