Deepika Padukone To Reveal FIFA World Cup Trophy 2022

As per latest reports, Deepika Padukone will be revealing the FIFA World Cup trophy during the finals, making her possibly the first Indian actor to do so in FIFA's history. On December 18, the Lusail Iconic Stadium in Qatar will host the FIFA World Cup championship match. The tournament has got everyone quite excited and fans are going gaga over supporting their favourite teams.

A source close to the actor said that Padukone will soon be flying to Qatar and unveiling the FIFA World Cup trophy. If this happens it will be the first or one of the very rare honours for any Indian or international actor in the history of FIFA.

Deepika Padukone is expected to fly to Qatar soon to participate in the FIFA event. However, there was no official confirmation from Padukone regarding the development by the time this report was filed.

Other Honours

This year she also represented India at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival where she became a jury member and was selected in choosing the winner of the 21 films in contention, including one for the coveted Palme d'Or.

On the work front, Padukone will be next seen in the movie Pathaan with Shah Rukh Khan and John Abraham. The movie will be released on January 25, 2023. She will also be seen with Amitabh Bachchan and Prabhas in the movie called Project K.
