Another Day, Another Horrible Crime: 26-Year-Old Dead Woman Found In Closet, Live-In Partner Booked

It feels like a tradition is building up where we wake up to the news of some horrible crime against women every day and it is not going to stop any soon. Today, we woke up to the news of a 26-year-old woman’s dead body being found in an almirah in Dwarka. Woman Found Dead In Almirah

On Thursday, the dead body of a 26-year-old woman, Rukshar was found stashed in an almirah in southwest Delhi's Dwarka area, according to the police reports. The investigation for the missing woman was initiated after her father, Mustakim reported to police on Wednesday that he hadn’t been able to reach his daughter for a few days, as per a report by PTI.

After the reported call by Rukshar’s father, a team from Dabri police station began their search for the then-assumed missing woman and rushed to her house in Dwarka's Rajapuri area.A senior police official was quoted saying, “Upon entering the flat, the body of the woman was found in the almirah of a room. The crime scene was inspected by the crime team and FSL.”

The victim had been residing with her live-in partner, Vipin Tailor for the last month and a half in a rented space. According to the reports, Mustakim believes Vipin to be the culprit as he claims that his daughter mentioned instances of physical abuse inflicted by her live-in partner in recent conversations and that she was afraid for her life.(5 Horrific Rape Cases That Shook The Nation After Nirbhaya)

“The body has been transferred to DDU Hospital mortuary for autopsy,” said a police official. He added, “Efforts are underway to locate the accused, Vipal Tailor, who is a native of Surat in Gujarat. Based on the statement of the complainant, a case under Section 302 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) has been registered against the accused.” The police department is also scanning CCTV cameras in the area to find out the crime sequence, as per reports. However, there has been no confirmation of who’s guilty.
