Woman Forced To Deliver Baby Near Hospital's Entrance In Jaipur, 3 Doctors Suspended

After a woman was denied admission at a state-run hospital in Jaipur, she was forced to deliver her baby near the hospital’s entrance due to the doctors’ negligence, on Wednesday. Scroll down to know more.

Pregnant Women Denied Admission To Hospital

According to a recent report by PTI, the officials at a state-run hospital in Jaipur denied admission to a pregnant lady experiencing labour pains and conclusively, she had no option other than giving birth outside the hospital.

After the woman gave birth, a huge crowd gathered around her outside the hospital, after which the hospital staff took the woman to the female ward.

In reaction to the incident, the Rajasthan government has now suspended three resident doctors of the same hospital in response to their negligence, on Thursday, April 4.After the matter came to light, an inquiry committee was constituted by Shubhra Singh, the Additional Chief Secretary of Medical Education, as per the official statement.

The three resident doctors of Kanwatia Hospital in Jaipur, Kusum Saini, Neha Rajawat and Manoj, were suspended on charges of ‘serious negligence and insensitivity,’ as per the committee's report. In addition to this, a show cause notice was also issued to the Kanwatia Hospital Superintendent, Dr Rajendra Singh Tanwar, for supervisory negligence in this case, as per the statement.

R.S. Tanwar, the medical superintendent at the Kanwatia Hospital said that strict action will be taken against those responsible after careful and detailed investigation, according to the reports.
