HZ Educate: 5 Countries You Can Move To Without A Job

Many of us would like to move abroad, earn money, and explore the world. However, it is easier to dream about it than to convert it into a reality. Every country has a process through which Indians can apply for higher studies and jobs, and when accepted, they can move to a new place to start a new life.

What if we tell you that you can move abroad without a job? You heard it right. You will not have to take IELTS or any other exam but still move to the mentioned five countries, search for a job on location, and explore a new culture.

Nidhi Nagori, career coach and Chartered Accountant (CA), shared multiple reels on Instagram to help jobseekers look for better opportunities abroad.

According to a report published by Henley & Partners on June 13, 2023, around 6,500 high-net-worth individuals in India will be moving abroad this year. Here is how you can be among them.

Japan

In May 2023, the Japanese Government launched two new visas, J-FIND and J-SKIP. Under these two applications, you do not need a job to move to the country. The validity of visas will extend for two years, and if you find a job within this period, your current visa can be converted into another work visa.

For J-FIND, professionals like researchers, engineers, managers, and other professionals can apply. However, for J-SKIP, applicants need either a master’s degree or 10 years of experience in their respective fields. In both cases, the authorities will check your financial background to confirm if you can survive in the country without a job.

UAE

If your dream is to live in the UAE, you can fulfil it by moving there without a job. You can apply for the job seeker visa if you hold a bachelor’s degree and are financially stable to survive in the country without a job. Depending on your financial condition, the validity of your visa will be decided. It can vary from 60, 90, to 120 days.

Sweden

In November 2022, the government of Sweden launched a jobseeker visa that will allow you to move without a job offer in hand. There is an online platform where you can apply for more than 2 lakh jobs. You might have to learn Swedish or need to convert the site into English, but there are jobs available for English speakers.

Australia

By applying for the Subclass 190 visa, you can move to Melbourne, Australia (4 Reasons Why You Should Move To Australia), without a job. If your application gets accepted, you can work anywhere in the state of Victoria. After you seal a good opportunity, you can also apply for Permanent Residency (PR). You will not need any sponsor or an agent to apply for this visa.

Portugal

Portugal has launched a visa for job seekers. If your application gets accepted, you can stay there for 120 days and look for a job. You can even get the visa extended for another 60 days if you are unable to find a job at that time. However, if you seal a deal, you can apply for PR.

Other countries on the list are Germany, the United Kingdom, Canada (Work Visa For Canada), the Netherlands, and many more.
