Ayushmann Recently Launched ‘Sweekar’ Food Truck To Empower Transgender Community

Ayushmann Khurrana recently made headlines and all for good reasons. The actor inaugurated a food truck by the name of ‘Sweekar’ for the transgender community in Zirakpur, Chandigarh. This initiative symbolizes the much-needed acceptance and support for the transgender community in today’s society. Khurrana handed over the keys to the LGBTQ+ Community with the aim to encourage and include the transgenders in the society.

The actor took to his Instagram to share the pictures from the inauguration. “Jab hum ek dusre ko karenge ‘Sweekar’, tabhi toh hum kar payenge India ko aur behtar ...I wish Mx Dhananjay Chauhan @mxdhananjay and members of the transgender community of Chandigarh good luck in their food venture! Onwards and upwards,” said Ayushmann in his post.

This isn’t the first time the Andhadhun actor has made a positive contribution to society.

Reportedly, the actor has joined hands with UNICEF and the Ministry of Women and Child Development to raise awareness against sexual abuse of children.

During the COVID-19 crisis, Khurrana along with his wife Tahira Kashyap came out in support of women ragpickers in Delhi, helping them take care of themselves and their families.

In 2015, Ayushhman became an ambassador for the second edition of Wings for LifeWorld Run, a charity event to support those with spinal cord injuries.
