Shabana Azmi is one of the powerful names of Bollywood. She started the Mijwan Welfare Society in 1999 with the motive to support girls who come from an economically backward background. The NGO works toward the education, skill development, and financial aid of these girls.

Priyanka Chopra
Priyanka Chopra is known for her courage and strong personality. She has been serving as the National Goodwill Ambassador for UNICEF India since 2010. Through this, the actress is supporting young girls to get educated, and empowered, and eradicate inequality. She has been a UNICEF Global Goodwill Ambassador since 2016.

Shah Rukh Khan
Not many people know that Shah Rukh Khan is more than just about his looks, acting, and charm. The superstar also owns an NGO called Meer Foundation which has been named after his late father. Started in 2011, the NGO supports acid attack survivors, their education, and employment.

Akshay Kumar
Apart from doing many movies on women-related issues and social problems, Akshay Kumar has also been actively contributing to women’s welfare. He owns a self-defence coaching centre called the Women Self Defense Centers (WSDC) which teaches women self-defence for free. He also donates hefty amounts to many NGOs.
Farhan Akhtar
Farhan Akhtar is an actor who has started many different initiatives for women’s welfare by changing the men of society. His campaign Men Against Rape and Discrimination (MARD) was a great initiative to help men be more responsible towards masculinity and tackle issues like gender inequality.
