The much-anticipated inauguration ceremony of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya took place on January 22, 2024. According to PTI, a book on Ayodhya named Ayodhya Dham - The Lord’s Abode, metal 'diya', special 'mala', and a scarf with Lord Ram's name on it are some of the gifts given to the attendees at the temple's consecration ceremony. The presents were inside a bag featuring a graphic image of the newly inaugurated temple and a child incarnation of Lord Ram.

The Prime Minister addressed the gathering by saying, "Our Ram Lalla won't have to live in a tent now; he will live in a grand temple. Lord Ram has finally arrived (in his abode) following the wait of centuries. We have to now lay the foundation of India for the next 1,000 years... While addressing the crowd Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath said that the nation has become Ram Maye and that the consecration ceremony for the Ram temple here has finally occurred after a 500-year wait, he said, "It is an emotional moment for all of us and it has come after a 500-year wait. The whole nation has become Ram maye. It seems that we have arrived in 'Treta Yug."

The Pran Pratishtha event of the Ram Lalla in the Ram Temple in Ayodhya on January 22, 2024, will mark the end of the Ram Mandir event, which will begin on January 16, 2024.

The person in charge of the temple's operations and the ceremony's supervisor is Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra. The celebrations will start early in the morning, the "Pran Pratishtha" is planned to start after noon at 12:20 pm and last for an hour.
Several Indian cities will broadcast the prestigious event live, and Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has also invited people to participate in this ceremony virtually. To enable working employees to attend the ceremony, the central government has stated that January 22, 2024, will have a half-day off.

Union Minister Pralhad Joshi unveiled the image of the Lord Ram statue that would be installed ahead of the big consecration event of the Ram temple in Ayodhya. Renowned Karnataka-based artist Arun Yogiraj created the statue. The minister also posted a picture of Arun Yogiraj alongside the Lord Ram idol on Twitter (X).
