Apple has finally confirmed the long-awaited release of its latest flagship series, the iPhone 16. With rumours swirling for months, the September event is expected to be a showcase of Apple's latest innovations in smartphone technology.

The company is set to host its highly anticipated "Glowtime" event on September 9, where it will unveil the new iPhone 16 series, Watch Series 10, Watch Ultra 3, Watch SE 3, AirPods 4, and AirPods Max 2.
The "Glowtime" event will be held at the Steve Jobs Theatre in Apple Park, California, and will be streamed live on Apple's official website, Apple TV app, and YouTube channel. The event will kick off at 10:00 AM Pacific Time (10:30 PM IST) and will be accessible to audiences worldwide.

While official pricing remains under wraps, industry insiders suggest a potential price hike for the Pro models. The iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus are expected to maintain price points similar to their predecessors, around Rs 79,900 and Rs 89,900 respectively. However, the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max might see increases of up to Rs 10,000 in India, reflecting higher production costs.

iPhone 16 Series Features and Specifications
The iPhone 16 and 16 Plus will retain their predecessors' sizes but with minor design updates. A notable change is the new vertical camera lens arrangement, replacing the diagonal setup. All models will feature a new Capture Button, akin to a digital camera shutter, enhancing the photography experience.
The Pro models are rumoured to see a size increase, with the iPhone 16 Pro sporting a 6.3-inch display and the iPhone 16 Pro Max boasting a 6.9-inch screen. Both Pro models will include the Tetraprism 5x optical zoom lens, previously exclusive to Pro Max models.
The Action Button, introduced in the iPhone 15 Pro models, will now be standard across all iPhone 16 models. This versatile button can be customised for various tasks, from activating the flashlight to launching shortcuts.
Battery life sees improvements across the board, with the iPhone 16 featuring a 3,561mAh battery and the iPhone 16 Pro Max packing a robust 4,676mAh battery. Pro models are expected to support faster charging, with 40W wired charging and 20W MagSafe charging capabilities.
