It’s an inspiring movie for UPSC candidates and students across the country who are preparing for a competitive examination. ‘12th Fail’ is a real-life story in which Vikrant Massey played the role of Manoj Sharma and Medha Shankar played the role of his wife Shraddha Joshi. IRS Shraddha Joshi has completed her schooling in Almore, Uttrakhand. She has been a very bright student since her childhood. Her parents wanted her to pursue medicine and become a doctor. As per reports, she served as a physician at a hospital in Uttrakhand. However, Shraddha realised her calling for civil services and relocated to Delhi to prepare for the UPSC examination. She got enrolled in Drishti IAS for her UPSC preparations.

She met Manoj through coaching when she came to Delhi to prepare for the UPSC examination (2023 women upsc rankers). Her teacher suggested to Shraddha to get help from Manoj to understand things in Hindi. Shraddha was impressed when she got to know that Manoj cleared prelims without any coaching.

IRS Shraddha started her journey as Deputy Commissioner. After that, she worked with the Uttarakhand government. In 2018 she served as the MD of the Women Economic Development Corporation. She made major contributions to the development and execution of gender-inclusive policies in the state. Currently, she is posted in Maharashtra in the tourist department as Managing Director.

Shraddha Joshi was a bright student and thus she secured 121 rank in the UPSC examination. She is an IRS officer of the 2005 batch. Actress Medha Shankar has played the role of Shraddha Joshi in the movie 12th Fail.
