In 2023 Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination’s results, women have performed outstandingly. According to the result announced by the Press Information Bureau, Government of India, the list of qualified candidates for the Civil Services (Main) Exam 2023 has many women candidates who will appear for the main exam to be held on September 15, 2023.

Three women candidates in the top 10 list include Joshi Girja Preamshanker, Garima Arora, and Vruta Bhavsar. Check out the list of all the names here.
The list contains 14,624 names. The statement announcing the result read, “The candidature of these candidates is provisional. In accordance with the Rules of the Examination, all these candidates have to apply again in the Detailed Application Form-I (DAF-I) for the Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2023.”
Candidates appearing for the main exam will soon find details about crucial instructions and dates for filing and submitting the DAF-I on the commission’s website.

The Civil Services Exam (CSE) is conducted annually in India by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) to fill positions for the higher civil services of the Government of India. Many call it the UPSC exam or UPSC CSE.
The exam has three phases, preliminary exam, main exam, and personal interview (Things You Need To Do Before A Job Interview). Referred to as one of the most difficult exams conducted in India, thousands of people apply every year.
Eligibility Of Civil Services Exam
If you are applying for the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), the Indian Foreign Service (IFS), and the Indian Police Service (IPS), you must have valid proof of being a citizen of India. However, if you are applying for the services, you will have to tick boxes, including:
- Being a citizen of India
- If you are a Tibetan refugee, you should have settled in the country permanently before January 1, 1962.
- You can be a subject of Bhutan or a citizen of Nepal
- A person with Indian roots who has migrated from Vietnam, Pakistan, Kenya, Malawi, Myanmar, Ethiopia, Zambia, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, Uganda and Zaire with an aim to settle in the country permanently.
Number Of Attempts For The Civil Services Exam
Here is how many times a person can take the civil services exam
- OBC category candidates can sit for nine attempts
- General candidates can apply six times
- SC or ST candidates can take unlimited exams till the age of 37
