Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cup chopped dried figs
  • 1 cup chopped dates
  • 1/3 cup mamra almonds
  • 1/3 cup cashew nuts
  • 1/3 cup walnuts
  • 1/3 cup pistachios
  • 1/3 cup raisins
  • 2 tbsp gulkand
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg powder
  • 2 tbsp desi ghee
  • 2 tbsp rose jam
  • ¼ tsp fennel powder
  • ¼ cup cardamom powder
  • ½ cup rose water
  • 1 cup dried rose petals

Step

  1. Step 1:

    To prepare the nutty delight soak the chopped figs in warm water for four hours, strain water and pat dry well.

  2. Step 2:

    Granulate figs along with the dates and raisins to smooth paste with the help of rose water.

  3. Step 3:

    Next, chop mamra almonds, cashew nuts, walnut and pistachios.

  4. Step 4:

    Heat desi ghee in a heavy bottomed pan, add gulkand stir well and saute for a minute.

  5. Step 5:

    Add the chopped date and nut mixture, nutmeg powder, rosewater and fig. Stir to combine well. Cook for 5 minutes.

  6. Step 6:

    In a bowl, mix rose jam, fennel powder and cardamom powder.

  7. Step 7:

    Take a tray with height of 4 inches, grease it with desi ghee and rose jam mixture.

  8. Step 8:

    Sprinkle dried rose over it and pour nutty delight mixture into the tray. Level it well with a spatula.

  9. Step 9:

    On the top side of nutty delight again grease some desi ghee and a thin layer of rose jam mixture, generously sprinkle with dried rose petals and allow it to set.

  10. Step 10:

    Once set, spray desi ghee on knife and cut neatly into slabs.
