Ingredients

  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 tsp ajwain
  • 1 tsp kasoori methi
  • 1/2 tsp Red chili powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • Oil for deep frying
  • Water for kneading

Step

  1. Step 1:

    In a large bowl mix all dry ingredients.

  2. Step 2:

    Add the oil and mix.

  3. Step 3:

    Add little water slowly and knead.

  4. Step 4:

    Keep in mind that the dough for pooris should always be slightly stiffer than that of rotis.

  5. Step 5:

    Once the dough is ready heat some oil in a kadhai for frying.

  6. Step 6:

    Make small rounds of the dough and roll out small circles.

  7. Step 7:

    Once the oil is hot, slowly add in the pooris and let them fluff up and the strain them.

  8. Step 8:

    Once all are done, serve it with a pickle and some nice tea.
